For this campaign to be successful, we are encouraging your clubs to gear up in the following ways:
• Send press releases to local media re: local tie-ins to the highlighted programs. For example, sending a release on promoting your used eyeglass collection locations and how we distribute them.
• Make sure all club brochures and web sites are current.
• Submit photos of Lions in Action with write-ups to pr@md27d1.org
• Submit photos of Lions in Action to your local media with an invitation to the community to join you in your next project.
• Be prepared to talk to potential members about the highlighted projects and your club.
• Contact PR Chair Jodi for assistance at 608/271-4473 or jodi.burmester@gmail.com.
If all goes according to plan, this campaign will build the general public's awareness for Lions and the good we do; which in turn should increase participation in our projects and fundraisers and hopefully increase our membership.
